Come spend a day with your family in the middle of the activities, dances and music of the County of Nice, stalls of cougourdons and local products. Many artisans and folk groups participate in this traditional festival.
The "cougourdon" is the name given to the fruit of a plant of the family Cucurbitaceae. This non-edible vegetable, introduced in our region in the sixteenth century, was very quickly adopted by the Nice people. Waterproof, after drying in the sun, it is often used as a kitchen utensil. Its original forms inspire artisans of art. The musicians also discover in this atypical vegetable a strong musical potential. It continues to inspire musicians and artists from Nice who perpetuate and revisit the tradition of "cougourdon".
