This work was chosen by the Works Selection Committee, established within the framework of the policy of presentation of works of art in the public space, and chaired by Jean-Jacques Aillagon, former Minister of Culture.
Caroline Bouissou was born in Nice and studied at Villa Arson and Listhaskoll in Reykjavik, Iceland. A graduate and Arts Associate, her artistic work blends many disciplines such as sound, photography, and sculpture. Her work "Observatoire", made of open metal sheet, thermo lacquered white on which three discs cut rotates, allows to decompose and recompose the landscape. This sculpture was exhibited in 2015 in the Parc Tassart in Cahors and in 2016 in the Art Center of Villa Arson. From March 24, it will be exhibited in the Gardens of the Monastery of Cimiez for a period of 6 months.
