WILLIAM’S SLAM

From 08 February 2018 To 09 February 2018
THÉÂTRE NATIONAL DE NICE
Festival Shake Nice! "With you, Mr. Shakespeare, it's awesome!" The enthusiasm of the young Agathe plunges us into the work of the great Will!
william-s-slam

Description:

Agathe slams. Her theater teacher teaches Shakespeare, surrounded by her old books. These two women, who are opposed in every way, share the same passion, that of words. In their own way. In this short and amusing play, one finds all the magic, the poetry, the madness of Shakespeare, thanks to its heroines. Juliette, Ophélie and Rosalinde come alive through this clash of generations and cultures. Their lines slam and hit the mark, and Shakespeare's language sounds right in the mouth of a slamming teenager. Minimalist decor, face-to-face beautifully staged, rhythmic songs, forcefully interpreted characters, the emphasis is on the power of the verb. One is moved, one is surprised, one laughs a lot, and when the two women come to terms and come closer, it is empathy that prevails.
