A ferocious study of manners, this irresistible vaudeville explores the jolts of a couple, mixing high vertigo and musical comedy. Explosive!
Georges Lavaudant achieved this feat of offering his audience five "Feydeau" plays in one evening. He concocted his version of a wild joke on the bourgeois couple laminated by the wear and tear of time. These plays are punctuated by an air of madness that mocks personal daily life. A husband disguised as a Sun King, a woman in a nightie, a constipated baby, the absurd desires of a pregnant woman, militant manservants ... The rest is a matter of acerbic language, colorful characters and hilarious petty squabbles, accumulating until the explosion. In a house shaken by psychological duels, everyone seeks to save his skin.
