By Carlo Goldoni - Direction: Didier Veschi and Frédérique Grégoire - With the Company: Le petit théâtre des affranchis.
In 1751, almost 80 years after the death of Moliere, Carlo Goldoni "the Italian Moliere", wrote this play in tribute to the one he considered his Master. He chose to represent Molière at the time of the banning of Tartuffe and at the beginning of his liaison with Armande Béjart, the daughter of his actress Madeleine Béjart. These two anecdotes give rise to multiple theatrical betrayals and twists, which make it a funny comedy, cheerful and full of rhythm.
