Et Transir allows us to see and understand the work of the two artists, Mathilde Dadaux and Adrien Menu, winners of the 2016 Awards for Young Creation.
Mathilde Dadaux intervenes in the field of performance and intangible forms of art while Adrien Menu works from sculpture and painting. Through the situations she creates, Mathilde Dadaux proposes experiments to live that modify our gaze. As part of her Vulnerable performance, she imagined extending the walls of the gallery and driving the visitors to the rooftop terraces of the Ponchettes. For his part, Adrien Menu operates in opposition. The artist produces metal or resin objects inspired by industrial and even domestic sites. The elements (conveyors, work tables, computers, hose reels ...) are inactive, hollowed out and silent to allow themselves to pass through the passage of time. Oil paintings, between figuration and abstraction, complete the device.
