CHATEAU DE LA NAPOULE

A few kilometres away from Cannes, the Château de La Napoule takes pride of place on the seafront.

The home of the counts of Villeneuve in the 14th century, the fortress was destroyed and rebuilt eight times before finally becoming a glass works during the 19th century. In 1919, the American artist Henry Clews bought the ruined building and restored it.

Group rates: 15 persons minimum.
3 or 4 guided tours per day.
Opening times vary according to the season.
This 19th-century château, rebuilt by Henry and Mary Clews on the ruins of a mediaeval castle, is surrounded by a splendid park overlooking the sea (artists’ residence).
