In April 2011, Nice Côte d’Azur became the first local authority in France to introduce the Car-Sharing scheme on a large scale, using only electric cars.
Auto Bleue now has 129 cars available from the 43 stations already in service. By the end of 2012, 210 electric vehicles and 70 stations will be in service in the Nice Côte d'Azur metropolitan area.
With Auto Bleue, you can hire an electric car 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for your travel, for a few hours or a whole day.
There’s bound to be an Auto Bleue station near where you’re staying!
You can book up to 20 minutes before your departure time ... and you can book up to 2022 on the Internet, by telephone or from your Smartphone (m.auto-bleue.org)
Each station has 5 spaces, 2 of which are for private individuals and firms that own electric vehicles. This gives individuals, especially those who do not have a suitably-equipped garage, access to an electrical recharge point inside the city. With the same idea in mind, Nice’s public car parks will be gradually equipped with recharge points for electric vehicles.
Auto Bleue offers autonomy of approximately 100 km for the Peugeot iOn and 80 km for Berlingo users.
Auto Bleue prices are ALL-INCLUSIVE: electricity, mileage, insurance, GPS and 24hr assistance accessible from the vehicle or your telephone.
And you’ll enjoy free roadside parking in Nice, Cagnes-sur-Mer and Monaco.
Service membership fee: 25 € (you pay this only once, when you register)
Security deposit: 300 € (not cashed if you pay by bank card).
Excess if you have an accident for which you are responsible or where there is no identified third party: 300 €
You may join online on the website or at the Transport agency in Avenue Thiers, opposite Nice central station.
