One cannot speak of the gastronomy of Nice without evoking wine. Appreciated by connoisseurs, the vineyards of Bellet produce truly remarkable wines whose renown has long been recognised around the world. Nice is the only big city with a protected designation wine (AOC since 1941): Bellet wines (red, white and rosé), with an annual production of some 50,000 bottles.
