The old fishing village became a holiday haven in the early 20th century, with the arrival of wealthy foreign families, who built vast estates, like Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild. Many artists chose to stay there: Jean Cocteau decorated Villa Santo Sospir.
An 8km coastal footpath offers exceptional panoramas. Beaches and creeks are an invitation to relax, while a wide range of water sports make it ideal for sportier stays.

Sights: the port; Sainte-Hospice chapel (11th c) with a giant bronze statue of the Virgin Mary; Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild and its theme gardens; Musée des Coquillages; le musée Goetz-Boumeester ; Villa Santo Sospir.

Cap Ferrat:
• the road winds among luxurious estates between the sea and pine grove for 9 miles around the cape.
• it is possible to walk around the cape on foot by following the trails (1 1/2 to 2 hours) or reach Beaulieu-sur-Mer from the village of Saint-Jean-Cap-
Ferrat (approximately 1/2 hour).

The + French Riviera Pass
Just 10 km from Nice and Monaco, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat is an
abundant green oasis in the heart of the French Riviera. The
Ephrussi de Rothschild villa museum is one such gem.
